Blessings by the box

Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit here in Connecticut (note: due to transportation costs, Connecticut orders are $5.00 more than locations closer to Georgia). Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50. (Note: The October 2007 order was priced out at a major Connecticut Supermarket to be worth over $70).

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.

There are 5 ways to order:

1. In person at the time of food distribution.

Orders can be placed at Church on the Rock each month on the date and time of food distribution. January Food Distribution will be Saturday, January 26, between the hours of 8 and 9:30. February food orders will be received at this time.

 2. After Sunday Services

Orders may also be placed at 95 Hamilton Street, New Haven, CT., on Sundays in the lobby immediately after both the 8:30 and 10:30 am services.

3. In our Offices During the Week

Orders can be walked in (with payment) to our 2nd floor office  on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays of each month between the hours of 1pm and 5pm.

4. By Mail with Bank Check or Money Order

Print out the menu for the current month (use "click here" link in purple section above). Circle the items you are ordering and BE SURE TO WRITE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AND EMAIL ADDRESS on the menu. Send it to us along with a money order or Bank Check by the date specified. We will contact you to confirm pickup arrangements.

5. Online using PayPal

Click Here to Utilize PayPal to order online. You will place your order and be sent an invoice via email to pay online.  Note: We are not able to take Food Stamps for online orders. Due to the additional charges we incur by utilizing PayPal, it will cost you a little more to order this way. But for those of you who for whom it is not feasible to make it to our facility to place an order, this may be the way to go.
