Pastors Todd and Leslie Foster Pastor Todd Foster provides local spiritual oversight for COTR-New Haven. His wife, Pastor Leslie Foster serves as his co-pastor. Together, they bring to the ministry his 12 years as a manager at SNET and her 12 years as a public school teacher in both the Hamden and New Haven school systems. In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Todd was the chairman on the inaugural Board of Directors for Teen Challenge — New Haven, Inc.. He also chaired the New Haven committee for Mission Connecticut with Luis Palau. He was co-founder of New Haven 828, a local clergy coalition and the founder of the New Haven Help Alliance, a 501c3 organization whose mission involves issues of poverty relief and the the betterment of local youth. Pastor Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Master of Theology Degree from Christian Life School of Theology.
Pastor Leslie left her public school teaching position for the co-pastorate role at COTR. She brings much compassion, wisdom and practical experience to the oversight of the church. In addition to normal sacerdotal duties, Pastor Leslie oversees personnel administration at COTR. She also coordinates a myriad of women's ministries and activities for the church. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA, and both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology.
Pastor James and Gail Roundtree (pictured together with his wife Gail) heads our Outreach ministries, Men's ministry and other in-house ministries at COTR. You will see Pastor James, Gail, and the Outreach ministry team on the streets of New Haven all throughout the warmer months with musicians, singers, free food, bibles and a powerful message of the loving grace of God. Lives have been changed, families have been restored, hope has been renewed for many individuals as a result of Pastor James and Gail and the outreach ministries of COTR. Pastor James also serves one of the task forces of Fighting Back — New Haven, a city sponsored anti-drug program.
Gail is an Administrative Assistant at the church and a graphics whiz. She is licensed as an Evangelist through COTR — New Haven.
Pastor Jason Goubourn (pictured together with his wife, Asia) is the director of the XL Youth Ministry as well as director of the Youth praise and worship team. On Wednesdays you can find Jason and his wife ministering to the young people ages 10-19 here at Church on the Rock. Jason brings his previous experiences as a teacher in the New Haven public school system with him as he directs our youth, which has proven to be valuable as he guides Church on the Rock’s young people into the knowledge of Christ. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
Asia Goubourn who is currently a full time teacher in the New Haven public school system, is by her husband’s side as he leads the XL Youth ministry and directs the youth praise and worship teams. Her ability to connect with the young people and passion for the church’s mission assists in making the XL Youth ministry so effective. Asia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Delaware State University and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of New Haven. She is involved in several ministries in the church, among them Care Group Leaders, One Flesh, Altar Ministry, Street Ministry and the Lay Ministry Consultation Team.
Sandra Richardson has been married to Roderick for 18 years. She is the mother of one son and three daughters. Sandra also has eight grandchildren and one great grand daughter. Roderick and Sandra have been active members of Church on the Rock since its conception. Sandra started working for Church on the Rock in August of 2000 as Administrative Assistant to Pastors Todd and Leslie Foster.
She is involved in several ministries in the church, among them Altar Ministry, Street Evangelism, Rapha Women’s Ministry and Angel Food Ministry.
